Information About Bats
Texas' common bats are the Mexican Free Tail and the Evening bat. They like to live in colonies of hundreds and can even number well over a million in the Texas hill country.
Bats are a vital part of our ecosystem and necessary for our quality of life. Their main diet consists of insects. Without the bats and their voracious appetites, we would be overwhelmed with insects such as mosquitoes and moths.

Getting Them Out
When there are bats in the walls or attic of your home or business, you can call a professional bat exclusionist to have them safely removed. As a Certified Bat Exclusionist, it is my intent to remove the bats in a humane manner.
Conditions must be appropriate for exclusions to be carried out. Being mammals, bats need favorable weather in which to find a new home. Therefore, exclusions should not be carried out in cold weather. Exclusions should also be avoided during the bats' maternity months of May through mid-September, to avoid harm to the offspring.
Bats are a natural resource of Texas. Precautions need to be taken for safe and effective exclusion. My job as a Certified Exclusionist is locating their points of entry and safely excluding them to prevent their re-entry.
I follow all State and Federal laws regarding Bat Exclusion: No chemicals; No traps, No re-locating; No extermination – only Removal and re-entry Prevention.
What Is the Cost?
Costs for exclusion will vary depending upon the location and overall complexity of the job, as well as any added requests. Since there is a tendency for the bats to return to the same location, you may wish to set up an agreement that will cover return trips as needed. If necessary, I will work out a specific agreement with you that will cover the needs of your situation. There is a reasonable preliminary inspection fee. This will be discussed when you call.
